The Vignale app
The brief was to create an engaging, interactive app for Ford's luxury sub-brand, Vignale, that would help explain this new offering to visitors at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.
Our challenge was to digitally bring to life the Vignale brand's exclusive services and improved dealership experience – both of which help Vignale customers to make the most of their time.
We developed an aesthetically rich, interactive app that combined Vignale customer service and lifestyle content into one parallaxing stream of scrollable content on iPads at the show stand.
Users could switch between introductions to the vehicle-related experience, and to wider experiences of Frankfurt's culture to suit their availability – simply by selecting the duration of free time during their stay.
My role was primarily visual design – working alongside the creative lead during concept development, the UX designer to map out user journeys, and collaborating with developers during implementation of the final product and the fine-tuning of the scrolling transitions.
